(Edinburgh Bicycle Coop) The Developmental Linguistics Research Group undertakes theoretical and experimental research investigating issues of linguistic and cognitive importance in the development of linguistic abilities.

Our research has two major themes: first language acquisition and the trajectory of second language acquisition and bilingualism. In both cases, the goal is to understand more about the linguistic and psychological underpinnings of behaviour.

The objective of this research group is to provide a regular forum for discussion of work in progress and a natural grouping for collaborative research. The group is particularly keen to promote interdisciplinary research with people working on developmental topics within neighbouring disciplines.

To receive announcements for regular meetings, email Frances Wilson at F.F.L.Wilson@sms.ed.ac.uk
